Mission
At 4-Legged Friend Canine Services, my mission is to facilitate and nurture the bonds of love and respect between individuals and their pets.
I leverage my extensive knowledge of canine behavior and development, along with many years of expertise in canine training, to strengthen and enrich the loving friendship shared between people and their four-legged companions.
I perceive this relationship as akin to the bond between a parent and child, and I empower individuals to communicate effectively with their pets through training and leadership.
In my training philosophy, I emphasize the importance of humans being fair, kind, and consistent leaders to their dogs. By cultivating this dynamic, we ensure that dogs become obedient, affectionate, and loyal friends.
Evaluation
I conduct a comprehensive evaluation in the comfort of your home, where I assess your pet’s behavior. Based on my findings, I will develop a tailored training plan to address and eliminate undesirable behaviors such as chewing, jumping, soiling, barking, biting, and more. I am committed to working closely with you and your dog until the issue is resolved, and often, significant progress is achieved after just one session.
Training
My training approach focuses on positive reinforcement techniques. Both you, the guardian, and your beloved pet will be involved in the training process. We will utilize various methods of positive reinforcement, including verbal praise, physical affection, playtime rewards, and food incentives. Once you and your pet become comfortable with these training techniques, we extend their application to encourage positive behavior. Successful outcomes rely on active participation from the trainer, you, and your dog. Over time, your dog can evolve into a “Canine Good Citizen” with impeccable manners and a joyful disposition.
Care/Sitting/Walking
I know how difficult it can be to find trusted, reliable care for your pet when you are away from home. I am available to provide care while you are away for a day or traveling for longer periods of time. Care can include walking, feeding, medicating, and possible overnight stays on an as-needed basis.
