I would highly recommend Sharon for any training issues or behavior issues a person might have with their dogs.
I have a fairly long history of having large dominant dogs such as German Shepards, Malamutes, Chows, etc. but my 9-month-old Siberian Husky-Shepard mix pup had me stumped. The training methods I had used on my other dogs just weren’t working for him. I also had noticed a strange dynamic between my pup and my five-year-old Husky-Malamute mix and they were having fights weekly. In desperation, I called Sharon and set an appointment for her to come to my house for a session.
Sharon was able to show me training methods for my pup and she was also able to explain the problems my pup and other dog were having. She gave us some exercises to do to help us control the dogs and stop the fighting. I am happy to report that in the three weeks since Sharon came to the house my pup is much better behaved and the fighting has stopped. If I do have any future problems with my dogs I will call Sharon without hesitation. She provides a great service and is a great resource whether you are having problems with your first dog, or if you have experience but just need some help. Her rates are great for the service she provides and her sessions are information packed (I would video any future sessions to have them for reference).
I want to tell you how much I appreciate you working with me and Kiwi yesterday. I finally feel like there is some hope. When I saw Kiwi sniffing the pug’s bottom, it made me cry from relief. I feel like you have an excellent handle on the situation and really know your stuff. It is hard to find someone in Boise who is more than a “dog trainer”.
You were so helpful to me with training my little dog, Xander, over 5 years ago now!!! Xander is such a beautifully behaved pup that he comes to school with me every Friday where he accepts the enthusiastic affection of 600 students and 50 teachers! Outdoors, he runs with the big dogs at the dog park. He doesn’t even engage with the dogs who rush their fences. Anyway, if you’re still offering dog-training services in the Boise area, I’d like to refer a friend to you.
I recently sang your praises to my friend who was visiting from California. I told her how beneficial just a couple of sessions with a knowledgeable private trainer were. Little Xander is such a good dog! He and I have come so far! He plays with dogs big and small and loves to chase and be chased. He is very well behaved on walks and has stopped barking at oncoming people and dogs. We’re working on heeling (by that I mean matching my pace). At home, I’ve been having lots of work done, so there are lots of men ringing the bell. He still barks, but he comes and sits and stays until I open the door. He goes to doggy daycare a couple of times a week and struts around with his buddies. Thanks for following up. As I said, those two sessions were invaluable to me!
Our Akita would not be with us if not for Sharon’s dedication, training abilities and love of animals. There is no question that we received as much training as our 110 LB Akita.
Sharon, you do such awesome work with animals!
She helped us understand our “teenager” who is an 8-month-old chocolate lab.
She has a calming presence with my dog, he responds to her because she really communicates with him.
A great trainer! We thought she was training our puppy, but she trained us too!
Very professional, knowledgeable and obviously enjoys working with animals.
